8月23日 Hello,GoodbyeTony is such a lame person to stand me up twice.I've been waiting for his call the whole morning while ending up with his messege:Sorry ,the rehearsal postponed,I'm very sick. Well, he, a creative musician, is expected to make up more imagitive excuses.I should say to him, "hello but goodbye" you are cancelled from Irene's friends list.
Just a small complaint on this cozy Saturday morning.I woke up at 5:30 dragging my body to the piano, after several rounds of Pentatoric voicings practices, I get bored and sank into the pillow again.
Despite some upset dreams, I felt already had enough sleep.A message came from Wu" Whould like to go swiming, skating or badminton?""No,I'm so tired" replied I. I really appreciate his invitation and birthday wish, however, I feel not going anywhere.
Followed by breakfast, a bit talk with Mum, reading, I feel doing everying without the function of my mind at all! It's like the brain just stayed there, watching my boby naturally respond to daily work.Maybe it's time to push it? I found a philosophy book which introduces an idea on the third stage of Taonism--"Abandon Intelligince", I have to say it's much wiser than my understanding of Mo Tzu before.I closed the book satifatory like creamy dessert right after dinner.
Then an article on a magizine caught my eyes, it's about difficult situation of rock venues in Shanghai inspired by the "Ark Dead house". The writer listed six rock venues who met their demise:
U-Like: It was SH's first big rock venue.Within a year, another manager took over, thinking he could make more money with pop cover bands but failed.
Ark Live House:Opened one year after U-Like, offering a mix of local, Bj and int' acts, as well as pop on weekdays. In 2005, a hostile management take over and a shift to pop covers caused a slow death, before it finally kicked the bucket this year.
Tribesman:Shanghai's venerable rock institution from 1994.Before, great acts played there and the crowd was fantastic, but in 1999 the management got bored and burnt-out and moved on.
Gua'er Music Factory:Staring in 2000,this scrappy music school trained a generation of bands and gave them a performance space behind a scrap yard near Fudan.
Tanghui:Opened in 2004,a hip little dive, it was where the scenesters hung out.Business boomed, but the old clientele migrated, the boss found a new three-story location on Huating Lu, which was cool and central but a little cramped.Complaints from neighbors and licensing woes killed it dead in 2006.
4Live:It was opend by a former French disco Haunt, located downtown with high rents. It closed for the usual mix of money woes and management issues two years after.
All the live house could't longlive the normal bars with expensive drinks and numerous prostitutes for money issues.I wish, deeply in my heart, my IreneResponse can afford all the sound equipment, bands, rents and even profitable to creat a Legend!
Too many short stories happen in this world, relationships, mood, bar stories... Wouldn't it be great to have a sustained and sound and nice one?
The answer is NO.I prefer my life always changable.
